It is our special pleasure to welcome Ms. Martha Goodman to our studio this summer! In addition to her many international credits in choreography, dance and teaching, Martha is the daughter of  the late Kyle Goodman, who was the chief engineer at WTOC before  becoming ill, and the late Mrs. Ruth Goodman, a Savannah legend in the world of Ballet and Theater.  We are so proud to continue the legacy that was Ruth's with the assistance of her daughter and our mentor, Martha!

Martha Goodman’s experience includes touring with dance companies internationally, teaching and coaching all levels of dancers, as well as staging and performing in such classics as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Les Sylphides, and Pas de Quatre. Other original works have been choreographed specifically for her. Martha has performed in films, television, and on and off Broadway. She studied in New York with Igor Schwetzov, David Howard, Genia Melikova, Maggie Black, and in Paris with Gilbert Meyer of the Paris Opera.

Martha has coached students to the final rounds of the International Ballet Competition and Youth America Grand Prix. As a Southeastern Regional Ballet Association (SERBA) award winner, Ms. Goodman is widely respected for her choreographic works. Martha choreographed Offenbach Suite and Peasant Pas de Sept for the Atlanta Ballet Centre Theater. Both pieces were recognized by SERBA and selected to represent the Southeast Region at the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, MS.  Ms. Goodman received The Regional Dance America National Choreography Recognition Award for the year 2005 plus Emerging Choreographers award years earlier.  Most recently, Martha’s ballet Festival di Verdi closed the Festival Gala 2010 SERBA.
